"For attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight; for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young - let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance - for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline." Proverbs 1:2-7

Theological Pilgrimages, Collected Faculty Papers, 2007-2009
Edited by Marcel V. Macelaru, Corneliu Constantineanu
Evanđeoski teološki fakultet,
Osijek, 2009.

Theological research is a complex undertaking. It requires diligence, long hours of work, the tackling of issues which many times challenge one's personal assumptions and the acceptance that as a profession it does not bring the material rewards other academic fields might offer. Nevertheless, it is also a most exciting endeavor, for it offers endless possibilities in terms of topics and method - a feast worthy of the attention of even the most industrious of researchers. The essays collected in this volume are offered as a tasting platter in the hope that the reader will feel compelled to partake in this feast.

The contributors to this volume come from various national, denominational and academic backgrounds. However, they share an interest in theological research and education in Eastern Europe and they are all lecturers at Evanđeoski teološki fakultet in Osijek, Croatia.

Bible, Culture, Society - Postgraduate Explorations
Edited by Corneliu Constantineanu, Marcel V. Macelaru
Evanđeoski teološki fakultet,
Osijek, 2009.

The essays collected in this volume are a selection of papers presented over the past three years at several symposia held in Evanđeoski teološki fakultet, Osijek, Croatia. The authors, a group of postgraduate students coming from various places from Eastern Europe, undertook topics of research that express contextual awareness and a desire to reflect relevantly on issues facing Church and society. Methodologically the collection restates the centrality of the Bible and the importance of responsible biblical interpretation. Also there is a stress on the importance of addressing the challenges of culture and society through theological reflection. As such, the works offered here will hopefully expand the readers' awareness of the possibilities and necessity for undertaking theological research.

Teološka propedeutika
Aleksandar Birviš
Electronic version, 2007.

The results of evangelical theology are studied in corresponding courses and areas of study and research. In this work they will be listed for the orientation of beginners, but also as a reminder to those who forgot or neglected this field. Moreover the picture of Christianity has changed over the centuries. Today that picture is distorted, due to many historical and (im)moral factors. That is why evangelical Christians must be clear to themselves. They need to know what is their identity, their individuality and their integrity.

Toward an Evangelical Missiology of Humanitarian Aid Ministry

Epangelia, An Exegetical Study of the Concept of "Promise" in the Pauline Corpus
Corneliu Constantineanu
Evanđeoski teološki fakultet,
Osijek, 2005.

The subject of the book is the concept of promise in the writings of Paul, a subject on which surprisingly little had been written. The treatment is essentially exegetical with a full discussion of each of the passages where the vocabulary of promise occurs; they are carefully placed in their literary contexts and the passages are given a thorough exegesis with a view to establishing what they affirm about promise. ... The strenght of the book lies in its exegesis of the material, which reflects a good knowledge of the major commentaries and the discussions in the theological work books.

This research has been performed through two general steps. First, it analyzes the prophetic and Apocalyptic traditions and their eschatology. And second, it turns to analysis of the New Testament.
